About Open Access SQOUT

Open Access SQOUT by QuDef is an advanced quantum technology threat intelligence and knowledge platform designed to help with the identification and sharing of quantum technology-related Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP) and Countermeasures. OA SQOUT is intended to provide quantum technology professionals with unclassified information on how quantum technologies may be compromised through both quantum and classical means. The matrix defines and categorizes commonly identified activities that contribute to quantum technology compromises across three domains:
    - Quantum communication
    - Quantum computing
    - Quantum sensing, imaging and metrology

Note, the Open Access SQOUT platform is currently in the Early Access phase, indicating that the platform and its content are still under development.

Open Access SQOUT is a small part of publicly available and unclassified information on quantum technology's tactics, techniques, procedures (TTPs), and countermeasures. In QuDef, we have the complete SQOUT platform, which contains not only quantum technology-related TTPs, countermeasures, vulnerabilities, and their interconnections, but also provides links to hardware and software components, quantum protocols, products, projects, actors, standards, and security frameworks. Based on this, QuDef offers quantum technology security assessment and evaluation services:

  • Ensuring compliance with standards and security frameworks
  • Conducting risk and threat assessments
  • Performing security evaluations
  • Emulating adversary tactics
  • Facilitating blue/red teaming exercises
  • Investigating security incidents
  • Assessing defence gaps
  • Gathering market intelligence

Early Access

This platform is in  early access , meaning it’s still under active development. Significant changes to features, data, and structure may occur as we refine the product. In particular, the categorisation of quantum techniques in individual tactics can still change significantly. Coverage of TTPs is currently incomplete, with ongoing additions and updates. Expect potential bugs and inaccuracies, and verify critical information from additional sources. This platform is not yet production-ready and is best used for exploratory purposes. Your feedback is crucial in shaping the final product—please share your thoughts to help us improve.
